Well DVLA still have hundreds of
X nnn RXB
plates left.

Can't decide whether to get one or not.
Not bad for £250 I suppose.

Go for it, before they wake up that a RX8 is out there.

Jimbob... the Xnnn RX8 plates are £499, not £250 as I was looking at X8 RX8 but dont want to spend £499.

I wasnt going to bother with a private plate this time but as they are "only" £249, seem to be going fast and I have found one I like I thought what the hell.....

Just bought M2 RXB :D :D

This could either read as MZ RX8 (ie Mazda RX8)

or M2RX 8 (ie Marks 8)

Not that I will be altering the plate in any way

I wonder if they will realise, and put the prices up for the RXB suffix like they do for TVR etc etc

Gone for P1 RXB at £499.

Wanted the lowest umber next to the letter as they will hold their value better and are easier to sell.

Still available include

N051 RXB (Nosy RX8) or B16 RXB (Big RX8) :D

I looked at that one too, but you would have to keep the car within 6 months old for it to be a late RX8 :D

The other one I was most tempted by was R22ARY. It was still available last time I looked. Surely someone should snap this up ASAP.

And send me £50 for the tip

I was trying to say 'X' as in 'any letter of the alphabet' :D

But yes, some letters attract a premium over others/ 'B' and 'C' are more expenisve as well. Can't see why though.

Still thinking about whether to do this, but if everyone else is I don't want to be left out :p

... or better still - all send me £50 each for the initial discovery of the RXB plates and then I get mine for free !

Now *that* is a good idea.

Morgan.

Sorry Jimbobjoe should have realised what you were saying I wasnt suremyself about getting one, but a couple that I looked at last week had gone this week, so I thought Id better get in there quick.

Simon,

As well as R22ARY, what about the new style format with AR03ARY (A ROTARY) which I think was available when I looked.

I still reckon Simon should have gone for the S1 plate!!! I would have killed for something like that.

I settled for P1, Phil being my first name and the number as low as possible.

Sadly Simon is too cheap to pay 500 quid for a number plate.

To be honest I wasn't too fussed what it said as long as it didn't look out of date in six months.

Oh no! I've become one of those people who looks at the forum after midnight!

Doh!

I looked at the DVLA site and spotted:

R8 ROT (ary)

Which appealed for £499. I thought about it few five minutes and it was bought by someone else. Grrr...
