Hot Delivery Information

Just spoken to the Mazda helpline, we should all receive letters by the 17th of October (this Friday) with a delivery/collection date from our dealerships. Can't wait.

Rob,

I am honestly telling the truth. I rang up the help line because my car is still not showing up on the dealer database, the lady said she will look in to it and ring me back + we will receive a letter by this Friday. Trust me on this one.

Yep I know, but think you might just get to know your delivery date before Brian gets back of holiday.

Bet my letter arrives on Thursday!

I can see the letter now;

Dear Mr Owen,

We are pleased to inform you that delivery will almost definately be in November. It will be after the 1st, and before the 31st. We are carefuly matching orders to cars as we speak. We are still waiting for the 200 monkies to import the orders into our spreadsheet. Once the 286 has printed out new orders, we will be copying them, and posting them to the dealer. The dealer will then manually enter them onto their system.
Dealers will be preping the cars and giving them out in no particular order at all.

We thank you for your patience, and hope your faith has been restored that yes, we can get worse, not better. We will shortly be writing to you again to tell you absoloutely nothing. Ha, we lied. No we wont - speak to your dealer, who knows less than we do.

I donl't want to question you precognition of your letter but there are only 30 days in November. :D

If a letter comes saying your delivery date is the 31st November you are never getting it.

i spoke to my dealer today - t w whites - they are getting a new 'software release' for their ordering system from mazda next week. i was told that once that was installed then the following week i would be told my delivery date, that's the 27th October.

i dont know why a new software release should really be stopping them knowing when my order is coming through though. what about the telephone?

Paul is that, 'Date to Dealer', or 'Date to you'?

I think the 9/11/16 dates are dates the cars are in uk/at dealers from ro-ro. It'll be at least dealer PDI before then, and prehaps transport from kent?

(ro-ro from holland).

I think it's 'Date in the country'

My dealer is convinced that this is the date that the cars will arrive in port in the UK. Looking at the evidence of how many people have had the 16th as the date I think it makes more sense that a big shipment is arriving from Rotterdam at that date.

You then have to factor in the time to get them all on a transporter and PDI'd. I would have expected to see some slight variation in dates if the cars were arriving in the UK earlier than that date because I find it unlikely that all of the car transporters will be loaded and on the road to all arrive on the same day at various locations around the country. I find it even more unlikely that Mazda have done the logisitcs of this exercise to give the dealers a specific date for arrival at the dealership rather than in the country - I just about give them credit for the ability to predict when a couple of ships are arriving from Holland!

well i guess this is down to the dealers interpetation of the facts presented to them. From what i can fathom out my dealership is upbeat that they will get the car on the 16th when i get it is some 7-10 days later.

My dealership appears to have 8 cars allocated with VIN numbers .

If dealers arent getting cars till the 16th, I rekon they will struggle to achieve delivery for everyone in November - or am I a sceptic?

My dealer believes that the date on the system is the date they will arrive at the dealership.

NO - they are just full of sh*t at Mazda, no point complaining though - we have not got very far with the other promises they have broken. I am just gonna sit tight, until they day my dealer rings me and says my car is ready for collection - even though it may be some time this centuary. I know one thing, I will never ever be purchasing anything from Mazda again after the 8.
