help a newbie
Hi i'm from ireland, and i have just ordered a new rx-8 231bhp mt for janruary.I know the one ill be getting is probably already built.I have been reading on this forum that there is talk of a couple of changes on the american version for next year.New colours available and some kind of keyless entry.
Is that model coming out here as well next year or is already available to us?
Should i have waited for the new version or does it matter. Will there be any external changes?
What kinda key is with the one out now?

Hi gearoidol
Welcome. I'm relatively new here myself.
I'm no techo-head, but I'd stick with the European model you've ordered - this will certainly guarantee you and your '8' greater cult-status
I think the 231bhp is a wiser investment.
In terms of keys - I was supplied with two 'flick-knife' type keys, plus an ordinary 'valet' key. The immobiliser-release chip in the key fob, plus the in-built Mazda security system leaves very little room for further improvement..
I wish you happy driving in early 2006 - it'll be a perfect late Xmas present.
