Furthermore it would be great to compare fuel consumption and driving experiences in order to get some info on diffrent gas brands etc...

Well, I'm greek too. Got my RX-8 for only a week, so I'm still a noob! First three days of driving the car had 500km. Some information that might be useful:
-about 16-17lt/100km consumption, 1st tank with BP ultimate, made 350 km, then i refueled with Shell V-Power racing. Both brands seem good.
-my heated seats don't seem to work -damn!
-real fun to drive, more amusing than my brother's Audi S3!
Have you guys had any starting problems with your car? I 'm worried about the 'flooding' every1 talks about. Do you rev your engines before you shut them off?

Seats work but they don't get too warm. I think that the leather on the seats is too thick (I like it) 17-22 is a lot but if you work the 8 on 9000rpm it's fine and you should that's the reason it was made in the first place.

we should arrange a meeting as soon as we get a sufficient number of owners and have a small member list to work with. Anyone who is interested can email me .

'revving an engine' simainei na anebazeis tis strofes tou kinitira. I think you know what 'shut off' means :-)
demmis:
'flooding' means to get your plugs (mpouzi) yet with gas so that they don't fire any more and the engine is unable to start. This can happen when gas remains in the chamber of the engine after you have turned it off, and the sad thing is that they have to be replaced to run your rx-8 again. i have been told all that by my dealer (any of you expert guys out there think i am wrong please correct me!) Dealer told me to avoid this 'rev the engine to 4000rpm, keep it there and then turn the ignition key off'
fondas:
i don't think there are turbo kits yet, car is too new for that...

<---Oh my god, I just realised my spelling sucks! I can't even spell my own city!

Hallo guys,

I'm not an owner yet but I will be by June.
I have chosen the 192 HP version and since I will import the car to Hellas next year, I would like your opinion about the 18' wheels cause I have the option to get the car with 17' wheels.
Does anybody has any problems with these wheels in the Greek roads ?

this happens only in very cold conditions and only if u shut down the engine after u have it on for 1 or 2 minutes

at 170km/h, my wifes toyota verso 1,8, burn 19lt/100km, according the on board computer.
Every car at that speed, have high fuel consumption.
But few cars can give the stupid grin of driving satisfaction

The L flash will be avaible in 2 months.
In the last EVO magazine the rx8 was faster than subaru wrx, s 2000, and slower to evo 8, mod with 300hp and 6 gears, only 1,9 sec.

Οντως NAM, τα πήγε πολύ καλά με 1.39,10sec, αλλά στο drive magazine-τεύχος Ιαν.2004 έκανε 1.38,50. Πίσω από Evo ,RS και S4, αλλά μπροστά από Z4, Cupra R, 206RC, S Works, 156GTA, V70R & PT Cruiser. Ανακηρύχθηκε δε και αυτοκίνητο της χρονιάς με βάσει τα κριτήρια του περιοδικού. Ξέρει μήπως κανείς πόσο έχει κάνει στις Σέρρες το Type R;
