Front number plate

There has been some discussion on what the number plate would look like depending on its position.

Do we have any IT experts who could throw up a RX8 front and paste the number plate to the various locations possible ie left, right (like 147) middle and top.

Also therafter a poll on the results.

many thanks,

rael

I'd go with that but can't help, don't have the software.

I will tell you a secret:

In Europe, the lisence plate can be mounted on the grill or on the bumper (Like Alfa). You can choose where to mount it.

Who are you that is so wise in the ways of numberplates ?

On a serious note - not sure a sideways mount would work on this car. I will be going for the standard centre grill mount at first.
May change at a later date to a lower mount.

I think I said before - on some of the piccies I have there is a black blanking late in the front grill to hold the plate - this would still be there even if the plate were moved and may look daft...

It all comes down to the same thing -

WE NEED TO SEE ONE FOR REAL ! ! !

Let's go to Geneva first week of show and see for ourselves, I'm game if dates fit and prices are reasonable. I could always sell the wife and kids if need be.

Cheers

It would just be nice to see what it would look like. ie the 147 looks good but initially the idea would have sounded stupid!

IT experts to the rescue please.

rael.

but this was the best '147' style I could do.
Personally I don't like it much.

I don't think this car will get away with side mounting the plate as well as the 147 does.

I think it still looks best mounted centrally.

Do manufacturers make allowances for this 'blockage' when sorting out the air flow for the radiators ? It always seems such an afterthought.

I read a quote from the designer somewhere saying that the grill/radiator had been designed to be fitted with a number plate. I think the top bit is just blanked off anyway.
