free RAC/AA membership with your RX8?
here as a seperate issue do you know if when we get said motor that we get free membership to the above motoring organisations or is that i have been lucky with all my previous car purchases that the membership was just a sweetener?
Either way my membership that came with my Lexus expired 2 months ago and loathed though i am to renew it for the year i was wondering if we get it "chucked" in with the package.
Judging by the PR and prices i would be more on the "yeah right!" brigade than the "sure mate - no problem" team.
Anyone got any answers before i consider parting company with around 80 quid

Rael,
Thats the same question i asked who in the hell are mondial? but they are apparantly the same company they use for other cars in there range. Funny that cause the wife didnt get anything.... or at least that i know off.
From what i was informed they are a massive organisation. Funny that ive never heard of them and seems so have many others.
pronounced (mon dee all)
If anyone else can shed any light on who these motoring giants are a free rx8 will be in the post.

Personally .. Free AA/RAC/Mondial doesn't do much for me ....
Amex and Lloyds TSB already give me all this stuff as part of their packages ... any refund for opting out of this cover?
Just kidding really, cos I know the answer already

Had 3-years cover with my MX-5. Worked fine for me. Had to use it twice (once for broken power steering belt, once when I fecked the brakes changing the rear pads.. oops..).
Just as good as the RAC/AA.. in fact, based on my last two experiences using the AA, they were much better.

Guys, the Mondial assistance package with the 8 is a far superior cover than that offered by the AA or RAC.
Its a pan european cover for no extra cost you can drive your 8 around europe and if something goes wrong they'll look after you.
The AA equivelant is option 400 but you still have to pay extra if you go to europe, at least you did when I used to work there!

Not exactly sure how much the eurocover was, you could take out cover for a whole year or just to cover you while you were on holiday.
At least this way your covered whenever and don't have to let people know that your going.
Thanks for the welcome as well.

3 years free cover, in a car with no spare, sounds good to me.
-------------
Your point about no spare is valid - however, when I had a puncture in a brand spanking Lotus Elise, the AA (who ran "Lotus Assist") said they wanted to charge me for coming out cos I had no spare. I argued for a while, then decided to let them do it and take it up with Lotus Assist later as I was stranded, but they then couldn't source the right sized tyre!!! Anyway - the argument that if they ran Lotus Assist, they should know that the bloody things had no spare, fell on deaf ears! Hope Mondial do better!

spoken to mondial and the answer i got was :
In the event that a puncture/blow out etc happens on a car under our cover with no spare a van/truck from mondial will assist the vehicle by taking it to the nearest centre where a replacement can be found. No charge will be made for this service but obviously we will have to pay for the tyre.
The van/truck will not carry a spare tyre but as said just provide assistance in sourcing one.
