Talking At Dealer Today!!!!!

Just talked to my dealer, on the off chance of getting a delivery date, and he said my car had arrived at the dealership this afternoon!!!!!!!! Apparently he was as gobsmacked as I was and a bit upset as no one had done any work there cos they were all over the car.

Apparently, he doesn't think he will be allowed to release it to me for about 10 days until Mazda UK and Swansea have sorted out all the paperwork, but I'm chuffed - might just go down there on Saturday so I can oogle it as well.

Woo Yay!!!:D

Got burgled a while back and my camera has yet to be replaced. Just a chance it will arrive tomorrow, but if not I'll "borrow" one from work. Due to burglary, not online at home at the mo either, so you might have to wait until Moday for a pic. Sorryyyyy

I live in Surrey, can I drive you to your dealer and hug the car..?

Congrats about your car...however, I am surprised this thread has not generated more of a response..There are dozens of RX8's ordered way before yours...!!

If this is true it is EXCELLENT news. Well done and really looking forward to a photo of the first RX8 owner in the UK

If I were you, I would take a sicky tomorrow and go hug your baby.

If it helps to put the order of deliveries together, mine is black, hi power with no leather, sat nav or moonroof. My guess is that it is all random and I'm just a lucky b*****d! I trust I won't be alone for long and some others are in for some good news too. Keeping my fingers crossed for the rest of you.

Fantastic news mate. Can't really believe it!
Better take a tent and basher up.

Maybeeee... Mazda are turning the corner and being ultra conservative in delivery times now?

Hurry up with the pics!

So they won't let you have your car for then days; fair enough you want them to be trained before the PDI etc. but get down there as soon as you can and make a note of the mileage, and make sure they see you. Temptation is a terrible thing for mechanics.

Seems that Ploszek isn't the only one.

I've just looked on Autotraders website and a Mazda dealer is selling a Titanium highpower with 10 miles on the clock for £23,500 and it doesn't mention leather.

What the ....?

If true - well done to you (sorry , I am a natural sceptic) !
Bummer that you cannot have it for 10 days or so though...

Get down there and note that mileage !

It's starting to happen and I dont even want to know when you ordered

Congratulations Ploszek:D

You've set one record on the euro forum, but now for the big question; who is gonna be first to have the keys in their hand?

Kef - Passenger 57!!!!:D

Ploszek - congrats on your car. Don't let the dealer display it in the showroom, as you'll have all kinds of low life coming in a prodding your baby. Where was your dealer again?:D

Hi all - my replacement film camera has arrived so photos will be forthcoming. Will still try to "borrow" the work digi camera to speed things up for you.

Ten day delay suits me fine at the mo, as I was still working on Mazda UK's conservative dates for organising my money. Besides, a bit of mechanic training in the mean time will not go amiss either. My Girlfriend is now distraught at the idea of letting the MX5 go - but then again, she shed a tear for the 10yr old Punto I dumped to get the MX5. They just don't understand - do they!
