I was seriously thinking about a Celica 190.
I forgot to put that on my list as I drove it too. Nice looking from some angles, but the drive didnt do anything for me and didnt seem very quick.

Seemed to me every time you changed gear you dropped out of the vtec band and had to wait for it to pick up again, maybe I wasnt revving hard enough.

In some circles the Celica is considered a bit of a womans car. Obviously I don't know what that means but overhead some petrolheads talking. MG-F possibly in similar bracket.

I think the standard version with the smaller wheels and without the spoiler looks a bit wimpy, but the higher performance version looks more agressive. I think some people will always accuse any small sporty car of being a "womans car" but if you take that reasoning to it's logical conclusion we would all drive around in big butch SUV's. I'm more concerned with whether I like the styling and what the car is like to drive.

The new Celica just doesn't do it for me. A few people in work have one (both male and females) but the styling isn't quite right IMO. It's not quick enough to be forgiven it's looks or vice versa
