Mazda RX-8 Brilliant Black now with Red and Black Leather interior

The Mazda RX-8 available in Brilliant Black is now available with a new Red and Black Leather interior, other interiors available are the plain black Leather or just standard Cloth.

If you have already placed an order and wish to change it you can contact our call centre on 0845 603 1354, quoting your reference number


This probably would have been my first choice if it had been available at the time!

I dont think I'll change now, as I would probably go even further back in the queue!

 

Perhaps this is a tactic of Mazda......offer changes to the ordered spec thereby adding a delay to the order so they can reduce the number of cars they are expected to send us in August/September.

 

Surely as we haven't been informed of build dates as yet and the first cars are not due until September then changing now should not delay things???????

I spoke to my dealer a couple of weeks age about changing to the colour of my order to Red, as I wanted the black/red interior and he suggested it would possibly delay delivery until the new year.

As with MarkW my first choice would have always been Blavk with the Black/Red interior. I was most annoyed to sse on the US pre-order site that they had many more choices of interior than the UK.

I think I shall have to give them a call and see what the possibilities are.

I have just spoken to Mazda and they confirmed that if the order was changed the to the back of the queue you must go, which would mean probably not receiving the car until next year.......


The young lady also mentioned that the first cars to be delivered would be the High Power one with leather, she didn't explain why.

Also a letter is due shortly confirming delivery dates for pre-orders..... I think a few other threads have also mentioned this
