As the Renasis is more equivelant of a 2.6litre V6 then it'd have to be against a 6 pot 2.5 BMW at least.

but it's a BMW and the quality is superior
err...rather an assumption there I think.

Sounds like a pretty BMW-driver-like statement though...

If the 8 interior quality is up with BMW then I will be over the moon as the Japs overall still lack behind the European.

But I doubt that it will or if it does will it be fitted as well and last as long?

I will more than welcome BMW quality in the RX-8 but I am not holidng my breath. I have been in many a car and without a doubt the German's have the edge on quality, be it a Merc, Porsche, Audi or VW. The rest do vary considerably.

One of the things mentioned in the Top Gear review is that the cabin quality is good but not quite the standards of german fit and finish. It was the best of the non - german cars though!
