Formula Woman

They were trying to get my other half intrested at Motor Expo.

However she doesn't like taking the needle more than half way round on the rev counter at the best of times.

Then again she does drive a Freelander.

Mine may have a go...

She did put a lotus elise into a field on a track day once for trying to find the limit on a corner.
She found it !

She was also the first to find the rev limiter in my typeR !
I hadn't one past 8,400 but she topped 9,000 !

M.

PS - and ironically , having her on the policy brings the insurance DOWN. Go figure.

Mine's not interested in racing, mind you she drives fast enough on the road!.

Went go carting a few times a while back but thats it.

Mine also doesnt want to come along to the Prodrive Live day so I will either bring a mate, or go on my own.

Yeah i want to know why women drivers get cheaper insurance when clearly they fall into two categories.

1/. Maniacs - no regard for other road users cause accidents with distinct lack of vision not forgetting the total lack of distance. 6inches in fact is 20 feet

or

2/. Snails - sitting at junctions waiting for the 5 mile of clear traffice before moving. Then when it does move its lucky to get into double figures in 4th gear.

of course,

in saying that i reversed into her new car (a week old) with my lexus and did about 300 quid of paintwork damage. You can imagine i shot the craw as quickly as you could say lightning before she could get out of the car and get me.

Incidently she was reversing at the same time and moved (the cheek of it)

My partner Karen is at the Formula Woman assessment day next Monday at Donnington Park. She already drives our MX 5 and is looking forward to it.

If any one wants to know, I'll post the days events, but there is a driving course a brief interview and a fitness test as well as other soft ladies stuff, like turning without indicating and driving at 50 mph in a 50 zone!!. Oh and how to drive round for ages to find a parking space big enough for 3 cars. ( Only speaking from my experience, not to say every woman is the same of course!!)

I'm going to book the day off to see whats going on, and whilst its not been published would expect the formula woman RX there.

My girlfriend has refused to drive my last 3 cars because 'they go too fast for me!' - I know she understands the use of the accelerator but she seems to forget it when she tries my cars. Thinking about it - she'd be ideal for formula women!:p
