Anyone been quoted delivery this week?
Hi,
Has anyone been told they are getting their RX8 this/next week? For me, this is turning into a farce now (as I know it is for most other people)! I was originally told 26th Nov, but the boat was 'delayed' and it was due in this Friday.
I rang my garage yesterday, and they didn't have confirmation, so would find out and ring me today. No phone call (as per usual), so I just rang them back. I was told:
"We still don't know, and there is a roumor that there are no more RX8s coming into the country until Dec 18th. I'm off tomorrow, but will hopefully have an answer one way or the other on Friday"
Has anyone else heard this ? I know we all know that the dealers do not seem to know anything, but this is so annoying !

My dealer is Beaconsfield Mazda. Yeah, this is turning into a right joke. I rang Mazda UK last night and they were very helpful. She took down all my details, and dealers details and will look into it and give me a ring today (fingers crossed).

Glad you guys are all having luck. Seems they are coming through thick and fast now. Mazda UK rang me back today (as promised), but could not give me an answer. They said "the distribution centre is very hard to get hold of", so they will ring me tomorrow.
I'm still crossing my fingers it will arrive tomorrow, but I have a horible feeling it arrived a while ago, and they sold it to someone else. I need to get a VIN from them asap.

Hang in there mate, your car is probally sitting in Kent waiting to be delivered to your dealer. Check with your dealer that it has arrived in Rotterdam, if it has it is then down to the dealer to call the order and have it deliverd. Mine was a November delivery, then changed to the 05/12/03, then the 25/11/2003, then the 29/11/2003, car turned up with the dealer on the 27/1/2003 and I collected on the 29/11/2003:D :D :D , it will be worth the wait.

Thanks Sexy Rexy, I know it will definately be worth the wait. I have tried to get them to confirm it has arrived in Rotterdam, and they told me it couldn't...I was told:
"Mazda operate a strange system where we don't know about it until it arrives on our doorstep".
What a load of rubbish...Which is why I raised it with Mazda UK.
Still, as you say, it will DEFINATELY be worth the wait....:D

IT'S ARRIVED :D
Got a call from Mazda UK (as promised), to tell me it arrived Friday morning. I rang the dealer to be told they will ring me Monday with the registration number, and it will be available for pickup, probably on Friday.
Gutted I have to wait until Friday, but i'm not going to complain now....Can't wait !!!
