Rael,

If it's any help, Ive advertised my Subaru on www.findit.co.uk, and also on www.pistonheads.com.

If someone doesnt buy it it the next few weeks then I dont get my RX8!

Cheers
Mark

I'm in the same position with my M3. Dealers are giving absolutely crap offers at the moment - even though they will sell the car for 5-6K more.

I've got mine advertised in Autotrader, Pistonheads and BM3W.

Not one phone call or email in over 2 months.

I really want the 8 though so don't know what to do.

My Mazda dealer has promised to work on my behalf and get the best price possible for my M3. Although I have argued that it's not really in there best interests since they will be able to sell my 8 to someone else.

The way I feel about it at the moment I might just take the 8 off their hands and try and sell it privately myself. What do you think of making a little bit of profit?

I'm tempted by the idea myself if the RX8 turns out not to be suitable for my passengers but I'm not convinced that there's a profit to be made.

Not sure about profits - guess there might be a small premioum initially, but certainly no more than a month or two until the next batch come into the country. Also dependant upon whether the car has many initial teething/power/fuel consumption problems...

The catch 22 is that you could cancel your order, and then get an offer on the M3... Either way you are going to be stuck with two cars, or no cars (assuming you dont have anything else). I'd be happy to sell you a lovely whit Renault Laguna to tide you over!

That seems a little high - what are cars which are "priced to sell" going for?

Have you looked at:

I don't know, I reckon you may be able to sell a '2nd hand' Rx8 at a slight profit.

When the 1st batch hits our shores and are starting to be driven round the UK it is going to be noticed by a lot more people, people who don't necessarily read the motoring press or even know what an RX8 is. Demand for the car is going to jump big time.

They are going to run to their Mazda dealers to place an order, find there is a big queue and then maybe have a look in Auto trader to see if there any 2nd hand ones for sale.
