25/11/2003 Delivery

Can all of the people who have been given the date of the 25/11/2003 initally put any info regards to delivery on this thread. My dealer called me last Wednesday to go through the GAP insurance I have taken out, plus he wanted to know if I wanted to register the car with my private plate. He must have known that my car had turned up in Rotterdam on the 10/11/2003 - but did not tell me as he probally does not want to get my hopes up for delivery this week, however I would be the happiest man in the universe if my car was ready to collect this week. (P.S. Got the bankers draft made up on Sat!!!)

I have my dealer assuring me mine will be here on 27th Nov. I keep checking and he say's he's still comfortable with that date. He said in fact that most of his cars are arriving in a window that starts 4 days before the predicted date till 2 days after. (Which sounds to me like transporter scheduling).

I'm very excited, as it looks like I'll be one of the first in a 5 speed.

(BTW Don't forget Top Gear this Sunday - had it from the horses' mouth that it's on)

Not happy

I have been told by Beaconsfield Mazda for the last month that I should expect delivery (to them, not Rotterdam) on 26th Nov. I rang this morning to be told my delivery date to them is now 10th Dec !!! He will look into it and ring me back, but i've been told before, so am not holding my breath.

I'm getting a tad annoyed at my dealer to be honest, as (with most people here), they have given me no help or pro-active news what-so-ever. Im going to be in the states for a week from the 14th Dec, so I won't be able to pick it up until end of Dec

Sorry for the negative post, but I thought the end was in sight.

Timmy,

Nobody at Mazda knows whats going on, I e mailed Chris T last week to find out if my car had arrived in Rotterdam, he replied back by saying he does not know where it is. Mr Digital found out some useful information from his dealer that his car arrived in Rotterdam last Monday, my car is exactly the same spec as Mr digital's and was built a day before. Trust no one, beleive no one, just wait for a phone call from your dealer to tell you it has arrived. The dealers are just us much in the dark as us, at the end of the day the dealer wants to turn the car around asap so they can invoice etc........, I do appricate the waiting is unberable, but have a thought for people like me that parted with money in Jan and are still waiting.

Sexy Rexy, I know, I don't know how you guys have lasted this long. I'm one of the 'lucky' ones as I ordered end of June, I'd have gone mad if I had ordered back in Jan.

It seems the dealers don't know until the transporter arrives and then sometimes the salesman doesn't isn't aware. Mine was at the dealerships storage compound for a day before the salesman knew anything about it!

All you can do is call on a regular basis and get them to check!

Hang in there.

Most of the cars are coming in early. I was told 25/11/03 and the car arrived yesterday and will be ready for collection on Saturday.

May be an idea to make sure that the dealer is prepared to get it PDI'd on time and fit any accessories.

Their arrival is be surprising the dealers. Mine had been with them for 3 days with accessories being fitted before the sales people realised it had arrived and informed me!

I just received a call from my dealer, in Tunbridge Wells, to say that my car will be delivered tomorrow. Silver , leather , sat nav and sunroof.

The previous update from the dealer was that it would arrive in Rotterdam on the 25th Nov and I would get it around the 8th December. I ordered at the end of Feb.
