Koni Rear Shock Remote Adjusters??
Hi DPE folks! It was suggested that I push this your direction.
I have Koni 8240-1227 adjustable rear shocks.
However, you must remove and disassemble the shock/coil assembly to adjust the shock damping. I would like to find out if there is a remote adjustment kit available.
I e-mailed Koni NA, and have not received an answer after several days.
Does anyone know if Koni makes a remote adjustment kit for these rear shocks? I know that the rear Tokico shocks have remote adjusters available for an extra cost. I would HOPE that Koni does as well.
Can anyone help me out here?
Thanks!

The rear Konis are not externally adjustable as they come from Koni. You MUST remove the shock completely to adjust them. No other way to do it.
As I understand it though, you CAN send yours into Koni and they can convert them to external adjustment (for a price of course), but I believe you still have to remove the coilover assembly from the car to adjust them or at least unbolt a couple things to drop them down a bit.
I've also seen a few folks mention some Koni 28-series Race-only shocks that are externally adjustable, but I don't know much about them and believe they are VERY expensive.
So for now, realistically, your options for easily adjustable rear dampers are either Tokico or one of the various coilover kits that come with extension cables. For what it's worth, I'm trying Tokicos on my car right now and they are working pretty well, but I'm not going to say a lot more until I can compare them directly with the Koni-car. I'll just say they're quite a bit nicer than OEM (as they should be), and the fact I can adjust the rears in about 60 seconds is quite nice.
