Gun Metal Mica Strakes on my Ti

Hella Great Strakes! Great quality - great product - surprisingly fast shipment. I wanted to enhance the lines without adding more shiny chrome than the body already has. Dennis was helpful in answering all my questions and was instrumental in my color choice. Tah-dah! Custom made Gun Metal Mica strakes!! They're heavier than I expected for their size, the instructions were clear, and the pricing simply cannot be beat. D MENAC 7 and Derwankel have a great thing going here. Good quality custom made products, the finish of your choice, and these guys are willing to take chances with your ideas

I should be able to snap some pics even closer in the sun tomorrow so the difference in the color is more evident. I love the way these strakes add depth to the profile of the car, more of a subtle shadow than shine. I'm one very happy camper. Next item: Derwankel is already working on my custom finish Ghost Aluminum Front/Rear Rotary Accents Thanks RX8Fun.com!!

I can atest to the fact that these are very nice looking. If I had a Sunlight Silver or a Titanium Gray, these are the color strakes I would install. The gunmetal gray in them is a very close match to the Titanium and the metal flake in them goes well with the Sunlight color and gives a great contrast. Pics of these are very hard to show but in the next few days, if the sun ever comes out, I will attempt to show what exactly this color looks like. If they made this color in the RX-8 it would look soooo nice. Imagine, the Titanium Gray with silver Metal Flake...

How about black strakes with metal flake? That is a simple process and can be accomplished easily. I also have some strakes that I started out with black then put the Velocity Red Mica mid coat on. They are sort of a black cherry with red metal flake that you have to see to really appreciate.

Hey Dennis any chance of getting a picture of those black w/metal flake ones? And those cherry red ones too against a black? Just walk up to a dealership and tell them you're trying to help sell more cars by offering one of a kind custom strakes to help them sell more cars :D

Let's put it this way...the dealership in this town and I do not see eye to eye. The closest other Mazda dealership is 60 miles north or 80 miles south.

As far as pics...I tried to take the black cherry once and could not take a picture that does it justice. However, I have not tried to take the pic outside when it is sunshining. Not much chance of that for a while since it is going to rain for a while around here. Though, I will try to take a pic or two sometime soon.

Come to think of it, I am going to be meeting up with a Brilliant Black 8 owner next week when I am in the Chicago area so I might be able to arrange it. We will see if I have time to do this.
