ON WTB: Front Driver Side "Plastic Wheel Guard"

Hi,

No hurry on this but if anyone out there comes across a totalled RX-8 I need the front driver side plastic wheel guard piece. Mine is broken. Pictures below so you know what I need to replace.

-T

PS: My driver side fuse box... beside the clutch/brake of the car... the plastic piece is broken as well and I wouldn't mind getting a replacement.

I may have that side in my basement. I have to check if it's the driver or passenger side. I will be home friday night. I will message you then.

You can have it no charge if it's the correct side.

Where are you located?

I am just east of Oshawa...

I had some warranty work done a few years back (tons actually) and there were the usual missing parts (lol) and one part was that front mud or water guard under the front before the front tire so they gave me the whole thing. All I needed was the little guard. I took it off and have the rest still hanging from my ceiling in the basement. I work at Pearson and have parents south of the 400/401 and can meet or leave it somewhere for you. I am not home yet (business travel) and will coordinate it with you. I will check tonight to see what side but I think it's the driver side like you need. k

oops

Sorry man. I got home after midnight and went to the basement to get the plastic hanging from my ceiling and it wasn't there. I realized I cleaned up and threw it away last year as it was always in my way and I had no use for it. Damn..........

Try calling a local dealer for a price but call more than one because I find their prices do vary. I was surprised the last two times I needed something and believe it or not, it was cheaper at our dealers than ebay and even the US dealers online. eg. clear corners at Scarboro Mazda for $53 cdn. Again, try more than one dealer........

Good luck and again sorry...

Hey man, don't be sorry. Thanks for looking for me. Like I said, I'm not in a hurry at all... just casually keeping my eyes open. I've kept up on most repairs... ie. The only thing wrong with my car is that busted guard and my heated seats don't work. I think I will try to find a better deal than $53 just cause it isn't urgent.

Completely unrelated... but just so you don't think my car is a piece of crap I took this picture while swapping my winters for summers. I had my mechanic put black caliper paint on my rusty rotors/gray calipers. I should try to upload a photo of what it looks like with the wheel on haha.
