FS: Track Wheels & Hoosier Koni Spec 225/45/17 Tires

I am selling my track wheels/tires.

The wheels are Rial, they are made in Germany - bought them new and they are in brand new shape as I only used the on the track. They 17x8, weight about 19lbs and are the same offset at stock. They come with hubcentric rings included.

The tires are Hoosier Koni Spec 225/45/17. While being 225s they are actually closer to 245 in size - I am attaching a picture of those hoosier side by side with 235 yokohomas - the hoosier as you can see are wider. I think they retail at around 300USD per tire.

I have bought them used and they had around 2 twenty minutes heat cycles on them. The wheels/tires were always stored at room temperature in tire bags.

I used them for 3 days at Mosport - a track that is very gently on tires / the car. Unlike street tires the Hoosier offer consistent grip throughout your session (the grip level is beyond almost any r compound on the market)

With those tires on and stock suspension expect racing beat sway bars I was able to hang on to GT3s in the corners during a couple of Kensai events. They offer fantastic grip and probably have around 8-10 mosport days in them.

If you get the wheels, I can help you get the same tire at a reasonable price in the future.

Save on shipping, customs, brokerage fees, mounting fees etc + Save the life of your stock tire.

EDIT: Going with a smaller overall diameter will also provide better acceleration out of corners then going with a 18" tire.

800CAD picked up in Toronto.

EDIT:

REDUCED PRICE 600 CAD picked up in Toronto

SOLD

PRICE DROP: $700

+ I will throw in:

1) VooDoo shiftknob - textured black, magnum size (allot shorter then stock - works great even without a short shifter)
2) One set of stock front brake pads.

Track season is coming up, get a set of TUV approved wheels, sticky endurance tires and some extras ...

Some additional pictures. The wheels are in Toronto while I am currently in Windsor. My brother took a picture of the wheel on a scale and I am posting a picture of the tire alone. Considering that the wheel has additional balancing weight on it, it should weight around 20lbs.

The Rial & Hoosier weight around 40lbs, and the stock wheel and tire weight around 50lbs, not only will you be going to a lower overall diameter which improves acceleration but also decrease unsprung weight. This is a very good track wheel at a good price, don't spend three times as much on a wheel/tire that will be covered in brake dust and seen only on a track.

700 picked up in Toronto (175 per tire&wheel)

If the tires are warmed up, they should be good. If you are doing one run an hour then it is not the ideal compound.

Looks like the voodoo shiftknob and the brake pads are both gonna be sold separately, so they are out of the deal.

I am offering a last price drop, if no one gets them I will dismount and sell separately (maybe keep the wheels for wet tires).

LAST PRICE DROP :

The lowest UPS estimate seems to be around 90USD from Detroit to Macon Georgia.

Afraid I am going to reluctivly pass on this. Reason is after thinking with my set up (i am Fi'ed etc) i need a wider rim for future tires.

I will give you a good bump though---i ran this exact size/tire set up before I increased my hp and it makes a LOT of difference going out of the corners and in overall acceleration. These hoosiers are great tires for the 8 and will drop your lap times 1-2 sec over the RA1, Nitto, faulkin etc.

I have a pending sale on a mazdaspeed 6 wheels for 500$. If they get sold I can probably buy this setup for 500$ if you are willing to let them go. No offense but that's how much I can spend. I can pick them up instantly too as I'm in teh dot.

^ There are several buyers interested, I will not let them go for $500 as I can separate and get the $600. I will pm you if everything falls through.
