Long time lurker and first time poster.
I discussed with Zoom44 regarding my issue and he suggested I post here.

I ordered a Cobb AP from MM and by the time the order was fulfilled, my car had been written off.

Unfortunately I'm now stuck with it and 6 months worth of MM tuning and will not be using either.

I'm looking to get $700 CAD which is quite a discount in the end, as you're saving taxes, shipping, and also having a discount off the price, for a brand new thing.

You will also be provided with all the information MM asks for the tuning (the 11 deadly question or whatever he calls them).

mm tuning is not transferable unless you worked it out with jeff

 

Sorry for your loss, but couldn't help but notice that some things never change ....

As mentioned by someone else, the tuning is tied to your vehicle serial number and not transferable. He's likly going to charge $200USD to tune the AP for a different vehicle.

I'm candidly asking, since I really do not remember, but considering that I've never (I believe) provided my VIN to him, and that there was never any tuning used or tune done in the first place, how would he not abide by the tuning request? (Unless I did provide it to him when I ordered, but I really do not remember). My understanding is that the tune itself is VIN locked, but unless the service was already activated, there shouldn't be a VIN tied to it yet, innit?

I am interested but in reading and asking questions at mm, looks like they will charge 299us for the tuning service? (They said your service started the day of purchase, not transferable and no refunds)
If your willing to come down on price I might try and work something out.

Brand new AP without the tuning service is a couple hundred less ... you're asking someone to pay for the tuning service you never received and they'll never get.
