Haha :P No probs, I'm just running the stock intake right now and wanted to go aftermarket. I was going to get the k&n typhoon before reading the reviews lol.

Yea, the sounds pretty awesome too. I especially liked the K&N typhoon sound but it doesn't do much if anything so it would be an even bigger waste of money. I've got ads up to buy this, a vented CF hood and I think I'm going to order an Axial Flow short shifter Monday.

I would go with the AEM, I installed mine last weekend, it wasn't hard for a first mod, but it took a long time. So far the benefits are the sound, the lower engine temperature, and lower rpm for the equivalent speed with the stock intake (approx 300rpm less).

^ that is impossible...

You can't get a lower RPM at the same speed with an intake. Intake does not change gearing of your car.

Ya I didn’t think so either, but it is definitely lower, my rpm at 120km/h was 4000rpm right on, now its 3750rpm. I have been driving this speed to work on cruise control for 3 months now, with out any change until I installed the intake. Also my shift points are slightly different. I may be imagining it but it definitely feels different

No, I am a 04 Manual, I might add that I haven’t plugged the vacuum line from the old intake yet.

Then, that's impossible.. you must have mis-read your RPM before... If you are indeed making more power, your revs will STILL be the same, but you may be at a lower throttle position (thus using less fuel to make the same power to keep the car at 120km/h).

Ya that makes sense. I am surprised I didn't see that earlier, Thanks for the correction
