ON 2010 Red RX-8 R3 (49,000km) ***SOLD***

Gentlemen,

I have a 2010 R3 that is being traded in for a Cayman S this weekend (Nov 14th). Porsche has offered me $11,500 for the trade-in and the deal is done, so if I don't hear from anyone I'm dropping off the 8 on Saturday and picking up my Cayman S.

The $11,500 that I'm getting on the car is essentially worth $13K on the trade it due to HST savings. If anyone offers me $15K for the car through personal transaction or $14K to go through Porsche Oakville (they charge $500 to do this) to buy the car, I will gladly take it. (I'm looking for an extra $2K here to make this worthwhile)

I wasn't looking to sell the car, but have always wanted a Cayman S and finally came across one that I couldn't pass up. I'm sad to see the RX-8 go and am not super happy with the trade-in value, so would prefer to see it go to an enthusiast who will enjoy it. Here are the details:

The car is a 2010 Canadian R3. It was purchased brand new from Mazda in Barrie in Aug of 2011. It has seen snow for 3-4 days max and was stored every winter. I would only take it out in the winter if the roads were dry, just to get the fluids running through the system. I have about 20-25 track days on the car as well at 8-10 autocross events. It has been driven hard, but smoothly which is why I've had no mechanical issues.

It has 49,000 km and has been mechanically excellent. I did have some power loss issues above 6 RPM earlier this year, but it turned out to be a broken intake hose. I had a compression test done in June just to make sure and it came back looking great, so the engine is very healthy and still has 4 years left on the warranty.

The car is in great condition. It is stock except for a RB Catback exhaust, which i put on this summer ($1200), and the BHR ignition kit that I installed 2 years ago.

If you're SERIOUSLY interested, please e-mail me at nowakm99@yahoo.com. I'm around evenings this week and Saturday morning. Serious buyers only please. Since I am trading this in, I'm not comfortable having someone drive the car. I'll take you for a test-drive as a passenger, but if you want to drive it yourself, you'll need to wait until the keys are handed over to Oakville Porsche. I know that it's not ideal for the buyer, but I can't risk having a stranger damage the car a few days before it's being traded in. If that's not an agreeable arrangement, I totally understand and would encourage you to look elsewhere.
