ON 2006+ Mazda RX-8, preferably WHITE. (found car, thread can be closed)

Hello!

As the title says, I am looking for a 2006+ RX-8. I have the following criteria:

- Color: white. (I would consider black or VR, if the car is clean enough to give me a boner.)
- Proper running order.
- No winters.
- No rust.
- No dings and no major scratches. (I do understand that 10 year-old cars will have some wear and tear.)
- Clean, complete, and well maintained interior.
- Mileage: under 100 000 km. (This is a baseline, and could be adjusted depending on the availability of maintenance records, a compression check, or Mazda reman.)

I realize I am picky, but after scouring AutoTrader/Kijiji for the past 2 months, I have seen too many over-valued, under-appreciated and neglected examples.

If someone here might be considering selling their car, then please let me know.

I'm a long-standing member over at RX7club, not a tire-kicker, and will pay a good price for the right car.

I'm from the Ottawa area, but willing to travel a decent distance.

Good luck guy.... most of the examples in the GTA area are all beat up... low compression.... >100000km vehicles with extensive rust and body wear. You're trying to find a no rust 2006+ (10 year old Mazda)..... a MAZDA.. with known rust issues in that generation.

It's not going to happen easily. The ones that are rust free, are definitely owners not intending to sell it. You might just have to live with it and fix it up yourself afterwards.

Wish you good luck.

Funny you should post this as I have been toying with the idea of selling mine as my new job is only 5 km's away and that is really not fair to the car, so I just drive my winter beater focus instead.

Obviously I am not a motivated seller and it would have to be to the right buyer if I were to let it go. I have all service records, and it just got a new set of shoes, last month, about 50 Km's ago. BFGoodrich g-force sport comp 2's.

I have a crystal white pearl 2010 RX-8 R3 and it still has warranty left until May 2017

Here's a link to the album of when I bought it: Gravey's 2010 R3 RX-8 by Gravey | RX8Club.com

It has 40,800ish Km's on it. I bought it at 14,600 Km's

I had a compression test at 37,XXX Km's Here are the results:

The only mods on it are stainless steel brake lines, tein hood dampers, and RB oil cooler screens.

It had some body work done on it as I had minor accident, and the passenger door, sideskirt, and rear rim were damaged. All damaged pieces were replaced, not repaired, including the ridiculously expensive rim. I was getting some bearing noise and took it back so the bearing and hub have been replaced as well, and it is running great again. The body work that has been done is guaranteed for the life of the vehicle, and IS transferrable to the next owner.

Anyways, let me know if you are interested, or if you are just looking for a series 1.

Rust issues are well documented on the rear fender area, just google or search on this forum for fender rust. Especially in regions where they use salt in the winter. I don't know what they use in saskatchewan.

yuppers...Rear fenders and trunk areas are notorious for rust.

On pretty much most Mazda3 and most Rx8's and seen fewer mazda6 with rusted panels mainly cuz I don't really pay attention to 6 lol.

Thanks for the responses so far guys!

Khurram, nice car. But a bit too flashy these days for an old fart like myself.
Gravey, ouch! I can feel the pain! Nice car though!

Hi,

I have a 2005 GT MT White with Red & Black Interior. 60,000 kms. Never wintered. New Coils, Plugs and Wires. New Tires with 1 summer on them.

It's a US car that I bought from a fellow member back in 2007. I had to start a new profile because my previous one used my hotmail account!!

I'm in Toronto.

Kevin
