YEE HAW! Got an awesome deal!

Hey guys

After about a month of wrestling and haggling with dealers ... I finally signed for the rx8!

I got a Winning Blue MT 04 GT for 40.5K including taxes! I would have taken it at 42K but after talking to my new best friend Rotten42, he gave me hope for a lower price. Thanks bud!

I'm picking it up next Friday (available Monday but paperwork and bank stuff to sort out).

oh from North Hill Mazda in case anybody is wondering.

for sure man ... if you can help try get it now! After I made the deal, the guy told me that they're under pressure to try to clear out the 04's, so they'll accept any reasonable offer. hopefully by spring there will be a couple of 04s kicking around .. and I suppose at that point in time, the dealers are willing to give better deals ("apparently" they were told not to budge on the 05 YET).

Rotten42, that's the first thing i'm going to do ... take pics when I pick it up on Friday or Saturday. Ha! The apparently sold the one with moonroof and left me with the one without. Turned out that the one that I test drove was the moonroof one and had about 70 km. The apparent odometer reading on the one I'm getting is a whopping 15 km!! Yea boy.

So how is the first week going with your new baby. When I got mine I was looking for excuses to go out for a drive....Need milk? ok I'll drive to the other end of town for it.

The first day I had the car home my 4 year old son said that he wanted to sleep in the car overnight. I had to explain to him that he couldn't because his Daddy was going to do that.

:D :D

If your out cruising around on the weekend, give me a call. If you still have that message with my number, otherwise PM me and I'll send it to you again.

Hey rotten42

I'm loving the car. Thing is, it's been a while since I drove standard ... almost 10years! So I basically am teaching myself over again. Stupid hills. I'm actually in the NE area and I also work in the NE. I usually take 16Ave or 32 Ave (near Sunridge Mazda).

Oh man ... it's so much fun. I did the D Menac 7 third brake like mod ... it cost me $1.14 to do it and about 20 minutes.

I'll give you a ring one of these days (pending how quick I relearn!)
