Add fuel stabilizer to the gas tank and run for a while to make sure it's circulated through the fuel system, change the oil, then don't start it until you're ready to take it out of hibernation. People who start their stored vehicles once a week or so are doing more harm than good!

Regards,
Gordon

Gordon, i intend to use the car about once a week to go to work (30K) when there's no snow on the ground , i don't see a problem with that but i'm no expert... do you think differently?

No, that would be no problem. What I meant was that some people think it's good to circulate the oil, and will go start the engine in their stored car, let it run for 5 minutes, then shut it off and repeat a week later. They don't get it warm enough to really heat the fluids, and will greatly increase the acids and water in the oil and increase the probability of corrosion and problems. Driving it for 30K once a week is great - letting it run for 5 minutes every week is very bad.

Gordon
