This is why we can't have nice things...
Ottawa police are investigating and apparent case of street racing in Orléans.

OTTAWA-Two cars, a Honda Civic and a Mazda 3, were seen racing each other at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday northbound along Jeanne D'Arc Boulevard one of the most traveled streets in the community.
The Civic struck a curb, lost control and hit three newspaper boxes that became airborne and struck a bus shelter causing extensive damage. The Civic continued and struck a fence, sending debris into a gazebo and the side of a home.
The 17 year-old driver of the Civic was not hurt but a 16 year old female passenger suffered a sore neck and back. She was taken to hospital. The Mazda left the scene.

hope everyone's ok...but seriously if you wanna race take it to a track. no point in causing this and perhaps screwing yourself over for the rest of your life...welllll i guess his parents will have to pay a buttload for insurance and other things. he'll never know the joys of owning and rx8 *nods*

its crazy everyone thinks its the big bad sports that cause the issues it never is thu. i know since i've had my focus i have all sorts of people in vans suvs other ecoboxs trying to race me and **** its hard to resist racing up to the legal speed limit. i'm always having to talk to myself out loud and say no nathan just let it go you know you'd kill him on the track.
i find its very easy not to street race with with the rx8 compared to the focus, very few people rev or start inching at a red light with the rx8 im braking all sorts of laws in less than 7seconds i'm in the danger zone of losing my license while with the focus i can hold in wot for close to 30seconds before im at the legal limit.
