Where to post things for sale?

We have some things for sale to local people, is there a forum for Toronto or surrounding area to post this stuff?

Design is not a problem. Its the people.

What is our goal for a GTA Rx8 club?

Cruises? Install meets? Group buys?

Anything that we cannot do it via rx8club.com Canada forum?

Other than we can assign a section just for Thief and Kris to raise hell, I don't see any potential advantages...and the effort involves are too significant. When you devote a set amount of effort and energy, you expect returns...Lets see, what happen to even a simple track day...people said they go...and end up only ONE showed up.

If we are serious about doing a gtarx8 club thing, we need enough people to dedicate time and effort to do it. Its one thing to be internet commando, its another thing to spent actual weekends doing stuff not even for your car but for others.

I am not directing this to anyone. Its just my .02 cents of thoughts. I was part of a VW car club before, and I've seen too many dramas. I am getting old and I have no time for that shxt.

I do apprecaite Footman and rxthunder to organize things in an efficent manner, and Projetzaz offering his time and place for us to do install meet.

And then of course we have the crazy Mazda dealership guy up there ^^^^...who would have thought the so called "stealership" people are actually passionate about cars! :P

Lets talk about this on Sat...

Kris its all good...a little bit of smack talk is fun...but we are here just to share love of our cars right? Don't sweat the small stuff. Even though bling bling is not my thing, I respect your dedication to the car show / compeitions. PEACE.

Footman, MazdaManic is coming this Sat...read the post man!

I would have, but I didn't bring 3 friends with me.... anyway, how can you take what someone said seriously when it was "I'm going to sit on you and fart on you"?

I'm good what ever Kafka and will support whatever y'all (like my American accent) wanna do. I think footman just wanted to have a dedicated site just for us folks cause it would be cool, unless I'm speaking out of turn. Ya it probably would be a lot of work, with not a lot of reward for the person/ppl running it.

Kris I don't know you man, just missed you as I was coming in to the bar and sweet ride it looks nice, but it's not cool asking a member to step outside etc. Like Kafka said here for fun, meet some new peeps and smack talk is fun, never take what is written on hear to heart. Txt can be hard to interpret at times as I'm sure you know. It was too bad you didn't hang for the rest of the meet. Maybe see ya next time!

I agree Thumper. It was not cool. Kris was a little bit over the head that time and I think it scared one potential fourm member away oops...but hey, you live and make mistakes and move on.

So Thief please just stop it. We don't need any more of this. Kris apologized and rubbed you a litte bit, we can all see that. Just laugh it off and its all good. We were all young and crazy at some point in life...

Moreover, this is NOT what I want to see in a car club. We are all adults and gearheads with passion of our car. Please keep it that way.

Thank you.

I'm not a internet wizard who can set up a website. However, I do have experience moderating a local GTA car club in the past. We used to have twice weekly meets and lots of events. Show and shines, drag racing days, cruises, etc.

If someone knows how to create a site, I'd chip in for the web-hosting fees and be a moderator. I think making it Ontario wide may be a better idea. Meets mean more when more people from further away can make it usually.

And Kafka, I agree with you, I have witnessed too much drama in the different car clubs I have been in (grandsontario, cobaltss.net, etc) I'm too old for it now. I respect anyone who puts a lot of time, effort, and rolls of cash into a car no matter what is done to it.

I think creating a separate FORUM would introduce redundancy and confusion. I see that communication is fluid enough for GTA people on rx8club.com in this sub-forum.

This would beg the question, "So why do you want a GTA RX8 club? What purpose will that serve?"

Honestly, I don't know yet, I just have a feeling; and intuition that we need some sort of unification locally within GTA, and perhaps establishing a membership to gtarx8 club would be a starter.

This will definitely need some more thought because if we were to establish something, it has to have a mission. An objective of some sort that is affirmative and measurable.

The Blizzaks are sick winter tires. I couldn't remember the name of them at the meet, but that's them and I can't say enough good things about them! Awesome winter tires!
