Anyone hear from Mic Jagger, he's been absolutely silent for the last three weeks?

I hope he's OK because I know he absolutley loved to post on this site.

Neo or Amur, if you have his number give him a call to see if he's at least alive, seriously.

Not posting for over 3 weeks is highly uncharactertic of him.

 

I second that. Mic hasn't been heard from since missing the meet dedicated to Kart.

Mic, are you out there? How am I ever going to play with your paddles if you remain MIA?

Hey guys... Unfortunately neither Amur or I have Mic's number... Maybe he's still on Xmas vacation... Alot of people took their vacation days for Xmas...

Still Nada. I don't want to be negative but I think something up and I don't think its good. I really hope I'm wrong and he's on a business trip.

 

Did he talk about where he worked at the last meet?
Did he give his real first and last name?
Perhaps the mods can find his email and ask him if he's ok

 

I think he mentioned it but I don't remember. Lets see if he turns up in a week or so, and then i'll dig deeper.

Anybody know he's real name or where he worked? Didn't Amur have Mic's cell number on speed dial on his own cell phone, I think they called each other prior to meets or something like that. It might be worth a double check as I have no way of tracking him down.

In the meanhwile, I'll send Gord (Monitor) an e-mail and see if maybe Mic left any tangible info when he registered on this site.

 

I'm pretty sure he's just hiding somewhere... it's winter afterall... Last time I checked Amur didn't have his number... But that was along time ago...

It is rather suspicious he hasn't responded yet... Maybe he's on some sort of extended vacation or something....

To remain quiet is not his style. A four week business trip! Over Christmas and New Year! I don't know. I hope you guys are right! I'm still waiting for the powers that be on this site to see if they have any information on Mic and if they will share it so we can try to contact him.

It's almost another week and no sign of Mic. He has never gone this long without a posting. Any of the Moderators know, if he has been banned from club postings? Shamblerock, maybe we should hold a meet (possibly Feb. 6 or the following week Feb. 12 or 13) and maybe he might turn up by then or it maybe a meet in tribute or in memory of him. Hope we don't have to resort to postings at Mazda dealerships " Lost, one RX-8 fanatic going by the name of Mic Jagger; please contact......"

 

Shogun, I have been speaking to the moderators and they have also tried contacting him, but nada. I got the impression he did not provide to much personal info on this site. In a few days, I'll follow up with the moderators again and go from there. We'll keep our fingers crossed.


As for the next meet, first 2 weeks of Feb sound about right. As we get closer, we'll try to set something up.

BTW, did you go to the Detroit auto show? Feedback? When is the autoshow in Toronto?

 

Shamblerock, I went on Thursday to Detroit. Mazda's exhibit was a little lame; a vr RX-8 with Mazdaspeed equipment; a concept SUV, Mazdaspeed 6 (sells for more than an RX-8 ~32k US); Mazdaspeed Miata; various Mazda 3's, 6's, Tributes and vans. Didn't realize the Mazdaspeed rear wing for the 8 also has a small lip spoiler. Overall, the Detroit show puts Toronto's show to shame; all the manufacturers are all on one floor, so there is no unnecessary walking like in Toronto. The Toronto show is around the middle of Feb.

 

Does anybody have pictures from the last meet that Mic was at? Maybe we can have the MTO track him down on our behalf?
