What do you guys think?

http://www.autotrader.ca/a/Mazda/RX-...0130102518664/

I just recently got off the phone with the salesman, he gave me some info on the car. 1 owner, meticulously taken care of (no scratches, dings etc). It was pointed out to me that the headlight washer panel was missing i didn't even notice, expensive to replace? Im going to mazda soon with the VIN to check out the records.

I live in Richmond Hill so its a 5 hour and 23 minute drive from here, I don't want to waste my time and go down there and check it out. I want to make sure everything is good before I head down. Also the car-proof is clear, no accidents.

What do you guys think?

did the previous owner have all maintenance/ service records? Handy for warranty.

Also, find out if all of the TSB's that apply to the car were ever taken care of.

Nice ride though!

okay thing is its at a ford dealership i asked about service records and they have none. i grabbed the vin and went to my local mazda just now they said they couldn't disclose any info to me but all the tsbs were taken care of except for the recall on the clutch pedal itself.

call your local mazda dealer and ask them if they will honor the warranty (or at least back you up, in the even you need it).
If they agree, this sounds like a good deal! If not, then I'd recommend looking for something else

Is an auction car or a "trade in"? You can always go to an auction and pick one up for the same price, dealers usually charge 500-800$ to pick up a car from an auction.

probably just a hard start because there was fuel in the engine. If you can, ask them to check the plugs and make sure that they haven't been fouled!!!
Other then that, it sounds good.
Did they agree to do a compression test?

sometimes the 50 in gas can save you tons, if you do decide give them a call, but make sure you mention my name happy hunting

p.s I picked up mine 2006 rx8 gt authentic speed bodykit spoiler CAI exhaust for 20 000 plus taxes it only had 29 k on the odometer
