blue WAS one of my top choices until i went to the autoshow this saturday at the mtcc. they had a protege there (i think) in the gheyest blue i've ever seen. is the blue on the RX-8 the same as this?

 

you mean the lazer blue mica color? I think it may be similar, but more blue and slightly darker probably

but it won't be nearly as dark as midnight blue, as seen in the cars in my sig :D

 

darker is good. not sure what the blue was on the protoge but it was god awful.

is it anything like the blue on the 350Z?

I was told by the Nissan guy at the Toronto Auto Show that the blue on the x-man car is the blue available for the rx-8. I was under the impression that the 'mutant' blue and winning blue were different, anyone know for sure? I really like the x-man blue.

 

no my knowledge, he's wrong. i'm fairly confident i know more about the rx-8 than my salesman, lol

 

dumb question.. what would a Nissan salesman know about a Mazda.

FWIW- there is a push to get the Mutant blue as a color.. call Mazda's customer service and let them know of your request and who knows what might happen (don't hold your breath however)

Dammit! I really dislike that Formula Woman pic. If anyone scrawls lipstick on MY driver door I'll run over them.

PS: I've seen a Mazda in a very similar blue to Winning Blue and it doesn't look in the least bit 'ghey' (whatever that is), just really cool! Get yourselves a blue 'Mag-Lite' and that's about it.
