What is this?

Hi guys,

I noticed this plug behind my passenger seat when I was cleaning my car today, but I have no idea what it does. Here are some pics I took of it today:

Do you guys have any idea what it does? Also, it's not protected very well and seems exposed enough for a rear passenger to accidentally kick it and possibly break it. Is there a way to cover it?

Thanks and God Bless.

Ben.

Those are all of your electrical hook-ups for side air bags, heated seats, seat sensors.
As for how fragile they are, do a search for airbag light and you'll get an idea...

EDIT : The seat adjuster power goes through some of these connectors on the driver's side.

^^ I'm trying to decide when to put them on. The D-spec shocks should arrive Jan 8.
I don't know if I should (can) wait for spring time.

I just checked out some posts....thanks bro. I guess there is no way of covering it, or prevent a rear-seat passenger from kicking it?
