JP Waxing, cleaning and the works...

Hello fellow Canadiens!

I'm new to the country, and I don't know which are the best products for cleaning and waxing the car available in the market here.
I read a product review in the forum for a ArmorAll wax & clean (or wax & dry? Well it was one of these combo products...). I looked in the shops and well, there are a lot of options.
Which would you recommend? Do you ever use these combo products?

Thanks!!

Use the search function. There are several threads on wax.
I have used several -but when I got my 8 two weeks ago, I tried Zaino.
It gave me the best shine yet.

look in the "Show and shine" sub-forum.
I, personally, like Meguiars products. Zaino is great, but it can be a little confusing to use, as there are so many different varieties.

Yes - I agree that he Zaino product set can be confusing, esp as they add new products.

I simplified it and still got a great shine. Clears seal (Zcs) as a first coat as it will create the base to polymerize, and Z2 polish - 3 coats - followed by Zcs as a hardener and sealer - about 50 bucks of product and worth every penny. I did have a Meguiar's clay bar - and did that first.

Readily available products goes to Meguairs (Canadian Tire, NAPA, Walmart etc) for me. Autoglym (from Canadian Tire) has been good for me also...

For more aggressive products used for polishing, I use Meguairs stuff I get online as well as Menzerna products.

Like Quid, I claybar my car once a year. I think mine was Mother's and got it from Canadian Tire. If you've never claybarred your car before, try it. It's amazing! The paint is smooth as glass after you're finished and blindingly bright because it's so shiny.

Highly recommended.

Cyclops, are you Japanese? if so, konnichiha!

HHAhaha, I love Mother's 3 stage. But, I use the hard paste for the 3rd one, not the liquid. by far the best! Clay barring is also good.

Hello men! -=drift=-, konnichiwa!! ehehe

Thanks for the replies. I have a better picture now on what to buy. I believe I'll just keep it simple and go with Meguiars or Mother's (funny name).

Normally as the reviews are from Americans, I'm not sure if all the products they have are available here as well, that's why I really preferred to ask you here in this forum.

Welcome!

The information on RX8 Club is amazing.
Check out Show and Shine .

IMHO

The best thing to do first is Wash the car with Dawn Dishwashing liquid. Second is Clay Bar. This is the best thing to do. The results are amazing. You are not done yet. Now get a very good Carnuba wax or Zymol and Wax on and Wax off. You should know this from a famous movie. Good luck!.
