Vancouver Cruising/Photo Day

Well, Eldon and I were talking, and I left an idea starter in another thread. We are thinking of doing a meet on Sept 11 at Stanley Park, and just taking pics, and cruising around looking for nice places for group or individual shots. Start around lunch, and either get somethign to eat at the beginning, or after we do some driving. Maybe we can hope for a nice sunny day so there are still girls out on the beach, and we can enjoy every aspect of the day.

Any thoughts on this, or anyone up for doing this? If we dont get a good response, then I will most likely post on the other forums I frequent just to make the day worthwhile. Last few times we tried to get you guys out for anything, it didnt go so well, so, lets hope for some peeps and cars out this time. Then we can have a group cruising around Downtown getting some reactions.

Wow... So sounds like Andrew put me in charge... Okay......... Can't let him down! I guess we should start listing our names in the list if we can attend? And also, what time should we meet up? maybe picture time at Stanley Park at 1:30pm? This way, people can meet up before hand to have lunch if they can make it? So let's start a "lunch list" too.

Sunday, September 11, 2005
Stanley Park Photo Day @ 1:30pm Attendees:
--------------------------------------------------------
1) Inconsequential (Andrew)
2) him (Eldon)
3)
4)
5)
...

Sunday, September 11, 2005
PRE Stanley Park Photo Day Lunch @ 12:00pm Attendees:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
1)
2)
3)
4)
5)
...

(I'm not sure if I can attend the lunch myself.)

So what do you guys think of these times? And if you're thinking lunch, where?

OK heres an idea.

1) Dan aka dannobre has just gotten his REVI + ram air duct installed and im dying to have a ride.

2) My new Blitz SUS power intake will be here next week, im also doing a DIY installation write-up along with videos of the installed product etc...

Anybody actually interested in doing a intake installation/meet/chat/cruise type of thing?

Sept 10 is the day we are looking to do this.

And the location would be at Dannobre's place, a little cruise together out to his place in Cloverdale (~20min away from Richmond).

let me know,
Vince

(sorry about the inactivity these days i have been extremely swamped)

Well, I am up for both lunch and driving, and finding places for pics.
But, we already knew that, and for those of you who are complaining that there are not enough meets, well, come out then, and we can try to organize more meets. It gets frustrating when you plan meets and post it up with a lot of time in advance, but no one comes out.

Is the reason why people aren't signing up for this meet because the date/time doesn't work for people's schedules? 'Cause I didn't think we were absolutely committed to this date. it was just a suggestion... I don't know how useful msn contacts would actually make this. Like if you can't make it on one day, but can make it for another, why not just write it down in your reply? How does msn contacts help organize meets easier?

We could try what they did at the NWN site, and set up a weekly meet time and day, and have a default thing to do, they do bubble tea, we could think of something to do. And then if we have something specific, we can add it to the posts, and keep the one thread going.
Just a thought, but my one concern on this would be that then people would onlty show up once in a while and it would still seem pointless.

Another option is, to start setting up regular meets with other car clubs too. To help generate more interest, as well as keep more ideas flowing.
