This is the map of the drive route

I am thinking of meeting approx. 9am at that church we met at last year, I cant remember the address for it, but it made for a good start location.

FRS radios are a bonus, allows us to communicate better, if anyone has any suggestions on a good brand and where to get them, that would be helpful for us without one.

Sign up list will commence, please cut and paste and keep adding, if you know anyone else to add to this who isnt on the forum, bring them along too, we need rX-8's coming out.
As we get closer, I will try to get everyones phone number so I can call and verify, will also try to get ahold of Mark and Wakeech, also Lawrence.

We will definitely have to have a drink afterwards for our mainstay driver who is in Hong Kong, We will definitely miss Usoff on this drive

 

i thought he was coming back just in time for this drive?

 

havent heard, if he does, then we will definitely drink in celebration of his return... I guess, either way, we can use him as an excuse to drink

 

A reminder that this is open to people from any location, as long as they can make it here for the drive, we will welcome all RX-8s that come out, and 93rd current said he might try to join us last year, maybe he might look at this one, and come up from washinton.

We really want to have as many people and 8's as possible, so, pass the word, this is more than enough notice we have given.

Starlight, you keep saying you want to have some meets, come on out and enjoy a hell of a drive, everyone who has ever driven this route has enjoyed it thoroughly, Dannobre, is this a track day, or you coming out?
The core annual drivers are on the list, but I dont see much for new additions, Thank you Patrick and Phil for signing up, will be good to see a new face, I think I will have to call Lawrence and Mark this week to verify, and hopefully Lawrence will be able to make it, dont think he gets on ehre often anymore

it will be over a tank, we usually fill up at any chevron or petro we find, just for safetys sake

 

Oh shoot, what time does it start and what time does it finish??. i have a hockey game at 7pm, so probably need to be back before 630 the latest.

 

well, if necessary, there are points along the drive which can be taken to get back quicker.
We will meet around 830/9am, this will help beat some of the traffic going towards Whistler, as well, give us more time to relax and not drive too fast? hehehe

 

is this route good? never tried b4, i only drive to whistler and back.

 

it's an awesome route! I can't imagine anything better. Lots of twists on the way there... then on the way back, we could take a different route and there are some straight roads.

and of course, since this is BC, the scenery is awesome.
