Question Time for my first oil change?

So far I have driven my new 8 just over 1400 (painfully slow) kms. I'm following the Racing Beat break-in procedure so after 200 more kms I can start to have some more fun. My question is, is it a good idea to change the oil before I start to rev it up a lot higher or can I just wait for the first scheduled change? (Yes, I have topped it up once already)

Changing the oil after the first 2k is totally optional and up to you. Some people like to change it out early because they think there may be some stuff in the oil due to the break in period. While that theory might hold true in older cars, no one is sure about newer cars. I waited until the first 5000km and change my oil/filter/crush washer every 5k after that. (which I beleive the owners manual suggests every 8k)
So basically if you want piece of mind for about $20 then yeah change it.

Also, welcome to the club!
