Spark Plug Costs - Yikes!
My 2008 RX-8 is in for its 48K service - thought I would get the spark plugs changed while it's in there - 8K early, but 3 track days has probably been tough on them.
My mechanic bought them from Mazda Canada - $300 for the set of 4. He has already installed them and started the car. CRAP!
So, NEXT TIME, where can I purchase these in Canada for a more realistic price?
Of note, I see that Mazdatrix in the USA has the following prices:
NGK Lead: RE7C-L: $30.30 each
NGK Lead: RE6C-L: $41.24 each - hot start plugs which I assume I need?
NGK Trail: RE9B-T: $30.30 each

That's a tough way to learn about stealerships.
Typically you can get them around 80 usd plus shipping from
www.blackhaloracing.com
www.onlinemazdaparts.com
www.mazmart.com
www.ngk.com
Actually NGK is where I purchased my first two sets

Keep your eye out in the vendor section. Mazmart offers great prices on OEM stuff. Race Roots also gives great deals on ignition and brake needs http://raceroots.com/index.php/produ...cessories.html

I don't know about that. Many cars are just pop the hood, take the wire or coil pack off and swap the plug. None of this jack up the car, take off the wheel, reach all the way in the BS...
