We are launching our Scion brand come September and are going to do an event like Mazdaspeed North was last year. Would any of you be interested in coming out to such an event? There will be Scions here to test drive and a great venue to show off your RX8's again! ....Anyone interested????

Never drove a new tC before... I think someone would like me inside one. 24 year old with reasonable credit, should be prime market for one.

 

We dont know the actual delivery date of the TC's we are hoping that it will be before our September date. We dont want to wait until its cold out to do our show!

 

TC=totally customizable?

 

Sounds like a plan...will definitely make it out to support...

Originally I was going to purchase a tC from the US and bring it over...but back then the regulation for the glass roof did not pass yet....

Im thinking we are going to be the 2nd Sunday in October. We were going for Mid-September, but we wont have the new TC at that point, I felt we should wait until we have the whole line up, also most people are finished with other events etc.

 

So your boss has NO Problem at this Scion opening event when like 15 RX-8's show up at the dealership?

In the RX-7 Club forum, the 7's owners found it is weird to show RX-7 & RX-8 in a Toyota/Scion Dealership as well....

Nah....I don't give a **** about Mazda Canada (they're probably the only entity here worry about mazdas showing up at a toyota dealership) since they dont give a flying **** about us. I go there to support my friend, its none of Mazda Canada ******* business.

 

I will go by the flow, if u guys are going, I am in.....

 

The idea of the event is to have all the enthusiasts show up and get together for a big meet no matter what you drive. It gives us the opportunity to introduce Scion, look at lots of cool cars etc. We might even be able to get one the racing Scions to attend as well. I am also looking at doing our lunch time lapping at Mosport on the Sept 19 race day if your interested. At both events we will try and raise money again for sick kids hospital.

 

I'd love to see a Toyota Tundra crewmax with a straight pipe blasting up the back straight at Mosport terrorizing all the RX-8s, lol.
