Yes Master!!

After you told me last time I tried it your way and ended up missing my downshift and almost did a thief in the same corner lol. I'm to used to toe on brake, heel on gas now I guess. Practice every day It's just hard to get the perfect match so you don't feel any transition between gears...aka how smooth your rev matching is.

For those that haven't paid please pay up!

Al the guy that came out last time that didn't pay, has he paid you yet? People that came out that day should get $5 back.

After pros pays on Friday that's it.

I think for next lap day, there should be a time limit on payment (ie. one week MAX) or your spot is gone!! and you will have to wait until the following lap day.

If someone drops out last minute without payment, they will be banned from lapping days for the rest of this year with us. Last thing we want is for Al to get pissed off because of none payments or such and not willing to do this for us anymore.

You mean heel and toe or the Al's method?

For smallfoot guy like me I do heel and toe shifting the whole heel to the gas pedal...

Anyway, article for references?

guys, you are too concerned with the how part. Like Al said, it doesnt matter how you get it done, if you have to grow a third leg and use that, then do it. the important part is how smooth it is. Once you get used to doing this you can go back and forth between using your heel or using the side of your foot depending on the car and pedal spacing. its the timing that is important.

Doh!!!, I guess that means I actually have to get my 5spd out of the winter storage to start practicing. Just wanted to be 100% sure the snow wasn't coming back first.

I heel-toe normally on the track. On the street I use the left side of my foot for the brake and the right side for the gas since that lets me put less pressure on the brake.

Well I hate to say this but I can't make it out on the 5th.

My engine seized sollid on me yesterday, and the new engine comes in I won't have enough time to break it in properly.

I will let you know if my brother still wants to head out. If he doesn't then two spots just opened up.

Al, if nobody steps up to fill the spot(s) don't worry about the cash, keep it to cover the costs of the track. I don't want to screw anyone over because of this.

Have fun at the track guys! I'll come out to the next one as soon as my car is better

Kevin that's a fair reason to bail man...too cool about the cash! Next one for sure. Your bro is still welcome, you should just come with him anyhow.

rx8-2nv - you are quick and you are in. Who are you btw?? lol
Please pay Al asap!!!

Kevin since your spot is filled now, once rx8-2nv pays Al, Al can just reimburse you.

I cant think of a BETTER place to break in and engine (thats where we break them in)! Your engine will be broken in after 3-4 hours of driving on the street it if its in the car before June 5 , which it should be. If you dont want to go thats cool, but dont worry about the engine not being ready. After about 500kms do a quick oil change and then staaarrrrrtttttt reevvvvvviiinnnnn.
FYI
Break in procedure:
1st hour under 7000 rpm next hour up to 8000 - 8500 next hours up and down up to 9000 rpm. Break in done! (the break ins are from Mazdatrix, Racing Beat and Mazda Comp)
