Scrapped RX8
My friend scrapped his RX couple of weeks ago, How do you shrink the picture to put them here , and what size can I put them on.. there like 800k to 1 meg at the moment...

Maximum size: 204800 bytes (200K).
You will need to use an image editor program to reduce the size of the file. You need to reduce the size of the image or the resolution. A resolution of 72dpi is normally sufficient for display on a monitor.

Ok here is one shot of his 8, Ill try to have the front part of it....
The inside of the car remained intact, exept for roof of car obvious, no note that there was no impact on the car , airbags did not deploy, this is only dew to a lost of control at 65 km/h dsc/tsc off . the car lost control and did some rolling twice. Friend got a broken knee, dislocated shoulder . If I remember correctly no seat belt buckled... When the car started rolling he lay down on passanger side, good thing look at his door...

Wow, hope your friend is feeling better. He was very lucky that he wasn't ejected during the rollover. I'm very surprised that the side curtain airbag did not deploy. That isn't good. I was told that they would if the car detected a roll over situation. I'm really impressed how little the passenger compartment was compromised. Is that a moonroof or just the roof that seperated?
Edit: the outside of the driver door is pretty mangled but the pic insides seems to show little or no penetration into the cabin but we can't see the inside top portion.

roof is intact just scrapped and squeeched a bit , moonroof did not crack or break, dont think it will open doh !!
Salesman told bags did'nt open cause they were no impact frontal or lateral, didn't know it was supposed to open in a rollover, it would be logical now that u mention it...
I'll ask if he has a picture of top, no penetration at all in cabin..

I was told that the side curtain airbag have a sensor to detect for roll over to protect the passagers head from hitting the side window in such an event. I asked because it happened to me a couple of years ago and I got a minor concussion from hitting the side window. Since then I've always wanted side curtain airbag.

A whole bunch of scenarios are running through my mind....
Did he fly off a hill/mountain (Mount Royal?)
Speed into an off ramp
Drive onto a moving van ramp (it WILL happen to somebody in Quebec on July 1st)
Launch through a McDonald's drive-thru
Pull a really sharp turn and slide into a curb
Drive in a half-pipe
Fall off the Metropolitain
Flip on the Metropolitain
- I was right behind somebody that flipped (not off) on the Met when there was ice on the sides

Seriously -- what does "lost control" at 65km mean? He must have been doing something REALLY stupid to lose control that badly at that low of a speed. Even with the DSC off (hold button down) -- it is supposed to kick-in in catastrophic situations. I'm guessing he either hit a curb or left the road and hence the vehicle couldn't control the situation.

He got cut off by a Van , god knows they drive really good, so he swarved a bit , and a wet cold road , with the dcs-tsc off will do that . Temperature was about 4 or 5 degrees . But I wasn't there. As for what happens to the car , still in the insurance hands..
to be of no consquence?!

Still, driving with no seatbelt with the dcs/tsc off? It sounds like somethign a drifter would do, not saying that is what he was doing, but, it sounds like it. Hope he recovers shortly, and I hope that even without the dcs/tsc on, that insurance will help him out.

i guy im the one o scrap the 8 thank you for your support.and like madjoker says ,i tried to evited a van cause she brake at the last minute and i did a quick turn on a exit and press the gas to not put the car in the ramp and i start to loose the back of the cars .and for those wo think about the seat belt in my head is 50/50 .and for the dcs yes im admit it a bad thing to take it off ,for me it like automaticaly bad attitude !!!!.so i will take you up to date for the inssurance.for the end of the story my car start to swing from left to right and stop between the hiway and the exit in the grass then the car flip over i was going about 65 or 70 whenthe car start to swing(km/h)on a slippery road.so thank you agains for your support

No matter what the condition of the driver's door, with no seat belt on, your friend is damn lucky he wasn't ejected. I am concerned that none of the bags deployed ... my understanding was that the curtains would deploy in a rollover situation.
