I am scheduling a meet for next sunday, some people got intimidated by the amount of cars at the queeston & nash meet.

I am still deciding on the location, let me know if your are available this Sunday July 22nd.

 

Alright i picked a location, it is right on the border between Hamilton and Stoney Creek. It is a new plaza that was just built there with lots of parking and its a good area for both sides of Hamilton to meet up.

I will try and find a spot close to the RBC or Tim Hortons. Somewhere empty with lots of space for us. I will be in Velocity Red rx8 and i will be very hard to miss.

Sunday night I'm watching the Formula 1 race @ Hockenheim (Germany GP).

If anyone is going to be there for 8pm I could show for an hour or so but 9pm is right when we sit back, fire up F1 ,and hoist a frosted Heineken or three

 

ill show up at 8 if thats the only time you can make it...if others want to show early they can as well.

I havent watched F1 in almost 10 years haha. Back when M.Schumacher, Coulthard and someone with the last name that sounded like burger or bherger were fighting for pole posiition. Any of them still race?

 

Schumacher is back - he's been back for last 3 years but never podiumed until 2 races ago when he came 3rd. He's had some epic bad luck with engine / trans fails or people crashing into him.

However, F1 is the most competitive it's ever been = proof .... 7 out of the last 8 races have been won by different drivers !

Add in the use of KERS (kinetic energy recovery system) and DRS (drag reduction system) and you've got more passing than ever before in F1.

So where should we all meet on Sunday @ 8Pm ? The parking lot for the Scotia bank at Queenston and Nash ? Or somewhere else ?

 

Everything about meet at time is posted in my above post. Gonna meet there and ill be 10-15 mins early to make sure we get an empty spot...just look for the VR RX-8.


I heard about the KERS that is some cool technology...i remember sitting back at home 10 years ago watching 40 laps with 0 passing...just waiting for a pass or the final 3 laps. I really should get back into F1..i do miss it.

 

Like I mentioned before though - best I can do is to be there for 8pm and I'd stay until around 9pm (latest) in order to get home and fire up the F1.

If no one else is going to be there early (8pm ish) I'm going to pass on this meet and keep a lookout for the next one.

SO - PLEASE POST HERE if you're going to this meet and if you can make it early.

I'll check the replies on Sunday afternoon and as long as one other person besides Kereshen decides to attend early i'll be there too.

It is currently raining, weather forecast says clear skies by 8pm...check here 30 mins before meet.

Kereshen, I don't know where you are but it is raining cats& dogs in lower Stoney Creek...I keep looking out but I don't see any sign of it letting up yet and it is almost 8. I'm glad that it is raining but I just wish it could have waited a couple more hours.

 

Any plans for a 2013 spring meet in the Hamilton area? I'm in Dundas.

I'd be up for a meet anytime after 2nd weekend in April in order for me to first get my summer rubber and 18" matte black rims back on.

I'm in East Ham (Quigley & Greenhill) - but would be willing to drive anywhere nearby including Burlington, Ancaster, Dundas, Stoney Creek in order to meet up with my fellow rotorheads.

I want to show off my new engine too that Mazda paid for courtesy of the Ext. engine warranty program. She's broken in and never been faster.

 

Any interest for a Hamilton area? I haven't participated before but would be up for meet/ cruise.

 

I don't own just yet, but I'm in the market to buy. Wouldn't mind getting together to see some of the other Hamilton 8's though.
