We're looking at meeting in Ajax this Friday night at 9pm. The Tim's/Wendy's at hwy 2 and Salem Rd in case anyone is interested.

I meant to check in sooner than the day of, but is anyone hankering for some winter meet-ups? I'm not too fond of standing outside in the sub-zero temps, but nothing against sitting inside a Tim's somewhere!

Is there anything open late enough for us?

 

I thought everyone went south for the winter, it's been pretty quiet around here lately

I'd join you guys, but I'm basically living out of a suitcase in various places in the US for the rest of the year.

 

Had no idea you guys still met up in the winter. I have my winter tires on, and the weather isn't great, but I'll keep an eye for any meets and try to stop by. I'm in Hamilton

 

I drive my 8 in the winter (with snows) as well but I think we're in the minority. I have made to only a couple of east end TO meets due to the distance from Dundas, the TO Friday night "get outta town" rush during the summer, and Friday night commitments during the winter. We should try and meet up locally and see if there's any interest for a meet in the new year (maybe spring) in the Hamilton/Burlington/Oakville/Milton area.

 

I'd be down for that. I drive the 8 year round as well.

Yes Merry Christmas everyone. Hope everyone survived the ice. Yes its cold, but on the bright side, the days are now getting longer and it won't be long until the summer tires are on and cruising season....only 4 months, 1 week and 3 days but who's counting.

Well you haven't missed much this winter; if there's a meet, it's probably posted here at least. And keep in mind, if you are interested in meeting up, you are always welcome to fish for interest here on the forum. (I know it's a downer if nobody shows up, but hey someone has to start it!)

I wouldn't mind another Square1 meet. Maybe we can plan one in advance? Do we still like Friday best? Show of hands for people interested!

 

I would go to a beater meet,but there's no way I'm driving out to square 1 from Oshawa, maybe something closer like mid Scarborough.

 

I like this Scarborough idea since I'll be in town next week.

This winter has been brutal. Can't wait for it to end already!

 

For my part, I've not bee good about checking on the forum. I think the last meetup plan never came together. Time to turn this winter slump around! So here it is:

This Friday, Feb 14 -- Beater Meet, East side
Kennedy Commons (I'm thinking meet up at the Chapters lot, hang for a while, maybe relocate to Tim's around the corner if we get cold ... or just pile into my giant car to warm up. Supposed to be warm on Friday though!)

Next Friday, Feb 21 -- Beater Meet, West side
Square1 (I'm thinking meet up at the North-West Target lot, hang for a while, maybe relocate to Chapters across the road if we get cold ... or just pile into my giant car to warm up. Long-term forecast is above 0C next Friday!!)


I will be present for both events. I'll be late though, sorry. Yes, late for my own events, but I never chose that 9pm theme! 10pm is what I can do, so that is what I will do. Feel free to show up earlier, Boeuf.
