I would think the all-mighty RX7 should be on that list for the same reasons. It is actually hyped more than the 8.
Guzzles oil, no; Gas, can't argue here; torque-free, torque is over hyped.
.....but what about the fact that it guzzles oil and gas plus has the world's first torque-free powerplant?

did anyone think about all the "hybrid" nonsense? how much advertising did they spend on the prius? and for what? saving the planet? not with that car...
"Queerer than a purse full of rainbows" comes to mind.....
if you drive a prius, congrats - no honestly.. it must be hard to deal with that much of a reputation.... before anyone sees how you actually look behind the wheel...
if the REX is over-hyped, i'm glad.
personally it's a fun little gokart that goes like stink, corners like it's on rails, looks good, sounds better, makes women stare, and little kids cry.......
if that's not worth a little excessive hype, what is?

i wonder who wrote this, and what they drive... or if they personally drove one of our cars...
who needs torque ? rev the sh*t out of it .
i'd bet they ride a bicycle to work every morning.
the delorian ? - doesnt belong on the list...dammit! they stopped making those because they couldnt make flux capacitors fast enough to keep up with demand....

I am The One!
keep in mind, this is a UK list.
Alot of countries have alot of opinions when it comes to their own critics on what is a good car.
I looked over the list, and I'm in agreement with most of it.
There are a few that hit home as personal favorites and I chalk up their flaws as "character"
dillsrotary,
I would have to agree with their assessment of the SLR. McLaren was suppose to introduce a true successor from their McLaren F1.
But alas, Mercedes stepped in and ruined the overall result.
Goes to show, most of the vehicles that are truly lengendary are designed and executed by 1 person. Not a committee!

In what way are the original 911 Turbo and the McMerc SLR over hyped?
The 911 is truly an animal and the whole 'slow in, fast out' is gospel for those cars.
The SLR is exactly want it is made out of, it's a Mercedes uber GT car that was made better by those British carbon fiber maniacs. Best described by a man driving one from Heathrow to Oslo; It's a car that can quietly whisk you, your mate and your golf bats to the Nurburg Ring, drive a simply blistering lap then lounge your way back home with massaging seats.
