Exclamation RX Club Event - Bruce County Cruise July 16th/17th 2005

July 16th - the Cruise/BBQ
July 17th - CSCS at Grand Bend

The Cruise

We will be leaving the Hillside Motel in Walkerton at 1pm. The cruise is expected to last four hours.

The cruise will take us through Grey and Bruce counties, passing through Owen Sound, Wiarton, Sauble Beach (bikinis are good ) and Kincardine.

All particpants are strongly encouraged to each bring an FRS.

http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/sub...est%5Fcookie=1

Following the cruise, the group will return to the motel. Those wanting to freshen up or whatever can do so, those wanting to carry on to Bass' for the BBQ can do so. At least one person will stay with the motel people (if any) to lead them to Bass' when they're ready to go. Bring food.

Bass has offered his house up for people to stay in overnight. He says he has room for up to 17 people. People must bring their own bedding (sleeping bags, etc.) If you want to stay there instead of the motel, contact Bass via PM @rx7club.com. THANK YOU, BASS!

***Cruise - departing the Hillside Motel in Walkerton @ 1pm sharp.***

Hillside Motel
(519) 881-1470
15 Maple Street

On the morning of the 17th we will cruise to Grand Bend to attend the CSCS event at the motorplex.

CSCS -

We are still gathering information about the group rate to enter Grand Bend Motorplex for the Canada Sport Compact Series. We will be posting more on this shortly. Visit www.cscs.ca for more info about their series.

Sounds like fun, AND I will be somewhat in the area (Niagara), but I don't know if I want to go that far up (I am leaving past that way the following week). If there was one in the Niagara/Hamilton area July 4-20th, I'd participate.

It is only 1.5 hours from the Hamilton area and we could probably find you some cars to cruise up there with.

Could you pick an area with actual curves?
Or are you planning on holding top speed runs?

The route has been planned by a couple of Bruce County natives and I know they tried a few routes b4 making a decision.

Regardless, the CSCS event has an autocross and gymkhana event that you can enter if the cruise route doesn't get you bent out of shape enough. We should have more info regarding how much to enter the different events at CSCS very soon.

What time do you plan on meeting in Grand Bend? I think I will make the 40 min trip from Sarnia to finally meet some of you guys. Can't think of a better place to meet. Too bad I can't make it to Sauble. I will be there the first week of August. You guys plan on spending most of the day in Grand Bend?

Yella, i think i ran into you one day (you didn't seem too pleased), i have the silver fc with the black hood, i live in sarnia right now, if you can't get rid of the rx8, and you want to cruise some time let me know, i have no clue where some nice twisty roads are around here.

Nismo,
I don't recall the encounter. Sorry if I didn't appear friendly. Might have been a bad day of work or golf or poker! Are you heading to grand Bend? You are right in saying there are not too many good roads around here.
