Question about our GS models
When I was looking at my car, I compared it to a GS right next to it and they both had the 6 CD in dash player. I didn't check to see if the tweeters in the front actually said bose though.
And yes, Bose is standard on both trim levels in Canada. And since the GT guys have been so quick to prop up the GT, let me just point out that the MT GS is lighter, and has the same engine, transmission, brakes and limited slip diff. In short, it's the faster RX-8.
Discuss.
Alright thanks everyone for the info. Yeah I was just curious because usually the BOSE logo would be plastered in a pretty obvious spot so you knew you were listening to a BOSE steroe but I couldnt spot anything. Does the stero really suck ? I thought BOSE = Quality.
I really wanted a titanium grey and couldnt find a GT without that nasty brown and black leather interior (no offense to anyone with this interior its just not me).

On earlier cars, the Bose logo is on the tweeter. On later cars, it is on the door speaker. On my 2005, the logo is on the tweeter.

Nah...it's not to shabby, mainly missing some kickin base!! When you test drive one giver a go and decide for yourself.

Keep lookin they are out there, look south if you want to, more for sale cheaper too. But the dollar is down
Of all the cars not to get a higher trim model this one is it. Basically all the stuff in the GT is in the GS. Cloth is great, and no hole in your roof is also great. Keeps the shell looking nice and solid, shows the roofline better. The only downside is no HID's. But that is a very easy aftermarket mod that becomes more affordable all the time. DSC is a good option agreed, and is very good in the wet but if you plan on driving in fair weather only I've found that the 1st thing I do in the dry when I turn the car on is just defeat the traction control anyway.
Don't get pushed into a GT if you like the GS.

Well, talking about the GS vs GT, I've found a good deal on a 6 speed lightning yellow (very rare up here in canada it seems) but it's a GS. So far, I know that:
(the obvious)
- Has a cloth interior
- No moonroof
- No stability control
- No HID
(less obvious)
- It has the 6 speed tranny, so it should sport the "high power" engine and the lsd
Now, I did test drive a GT but never a GS (let alone seeing the interior of one). In the GT, my hair were touching the roof a bit. Question is, are the seats lower/thinner in the GS since they don't have all the electric adjustment and such? And does having (or not) the moonrof affect the height of the roof at all? (thicker liner?)
And while were at it, can anyone give a comparison on the look/feel of both interiors? (are the GS seats as comfty? Do the door panels look decent in cloth when compared to the GT's leather?)
I'd really go and see the car, but it's a good 5 and a half hour drive from my place, and I would really avoid driving that long just to see a car that *might* suck
Thanks a lot.
