potential 0 - 60 perf of next gen rx
Looking at this article of the new Lotus Evora: http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...a_second_drive
The specs:
276 BHP, 258 Lb-ft torque, 3050 Lbs (which is very close to what an 04-08 RX8 is)
0 - 60MPH in 4.9 s
If the new 16X engine is putting out HPs like that (probably not the torque though).... we may finally get a 5.0 sec 0 - 60 MPH time...

kind of exciting, its amazing how a relatively low power engine can feel when put in a light car. mazda has never had the fastest cars in a straight line but they have always been well balanced and enjoyable.
too many people confuse fast with fun.

welp... they're estimating that the 16x should have roughly 20% more power and torque then the RENISIS.... and it'll be lighter.. and more fuel eff.. and... blah blah blah... here's to hoping
but as for a swap.. I dunno... you're goin' to a direct injection setup... you're basically gutting it for the chasis at that point...
