Possible Coolant leak

I have purchased a 05 RX-8 back in Sept. A week ago, the low coolant warning light came on. Keep in might the car only has 1800km on it and I don't see any coolant on the ground. Is this normal?? I have top up the coolant last week and left this in my garage since then. The engine light did not came on. What should I do?? Leave it or should I take it back to the dealership?? Also, what gas milage are you guys getting?? I got around 330km(shift at 3000rpm) from a full tank till the light come on with 91 octance. Is this sound normal?

Thanks for your help in advance

Alan

had same issue with my 05 gt; take it to the dealer and they will fix the coolant light issue as they did with mine; it required a part to be ordered;
you are not revving your car high enough;

I had this problem with my 04 GT (22, 000 kms) - Light came on - went to Canadian Tire and got premixed coolant - topped up. All has been good since. I figured the dealer I was going to didn't their job properly on the previous service.

just monitor your coolant level, making sure it doesn't go down anymore.

I had a coolant level warning in my almost new 8 ( 4000k ) and after filling it with coolant , the warning light went out. The car continued to run perfectly, but I phoned my dealer (Dave Wood Mazda in Newmarket ) and was instructed to bring it in. I did, and 2 hours later I was informed that I needed a new engine. There was a leak in a seal between the rotors and therefore no external sign of a leak. At no time was there any problem with the engine, either starting or running.

I now have a new engine which is also running perfectly. ( paid in full under warranty )

I also keep a close eye on the coolant level.

The dealership, by the way, was excellent and had the new engine installed and the vehicle back in my hands in 72 hours.
