im new here and im planning to buy rx-8 in a week, i need some suggestion for ( dealer, price, spec for the car and everything to do with rx-8 or stuff i need to know )
please help me out her thx alot

as far as price, im not sure if anyone here got much of a deal, but I couldnt knock anything off the sticker. As far as negotiations go, try and get the extras ( rustproofing etc.....) for less, they will bargain with that. Also i think when i bought mine, they waived frieght, and PDI. Options levels in canada are basically 2 GS and GT. GT comes with leather and plenty of other goodies like an LSD. The GT also comes with an optional sunroof (which most already have) and the navi.

 

I never knew my car came with LSD...no wonder I'm always high when I drive it.

 

Well, I was at signature earlier today getting my maintenance. Thay have a huge selection on 8's right now, including 3 whites in the back... one Blue with spoiler (was a demo car, dunno kms) but it was about 29k, if I remember right, but I think the only colors they dont currently have are yellow and nordic green, which is also available up here, but, none have been ordered here yet.

 

yes, finally sold my bmw today and getting a 2005 white rx-8 tomo !!! :D

i went to freeway mazda , wel they said they cant really do anything bout the price since its 2005 rx-8 but i got the rear spoiler for free so i guess its not that bad

 

johnny ... you should have gone with a 04 unless you REALLY wanted white. The dealers are almost begging to get 04 off the lots.

Oh ... make sure you opt of certain things like window etching, rust protection, etc ... they're just there to earn the dealer a couple of extra bucks. i think that we had some good discussions here on the Canada board about that stuff.

thx for the advises bluefrenzy, ya they actually offer me pretty good deal on 04, 8 ( gt, auto, moonroof )for 38000 but i want a 05 car and plus i like it white haha so ya its only 3 more G so its all good

 

im not much of a white car fan. but im dying to see how it looks on the RX-8! congrats on the new car, take it easy, and make sure to break it in. Were you much of a rotary nut before this car? or is this your first encounter with one?

 

i used to own a bmw so this is actually my 1st rotary experience , is there anything i need to know ? pls give me some advices thx alot kartracer

 

Here is a link to Racing Beat, they have the Owners manual break in, and their own break in procedures . Very easy to follow, also you'll always see on the board, and Mazda should mention it, that you have to check the oil every so often, as the motor is oil injected. I have 2500km on my car already and havent topped it up at all. But opening the hood at the gas station, definatly gets some looks and comments.

Hey boys - I've got the financing in place for an 04 RX8 GS. But I'm holding out signing until the current financing incentives expire on Sept 30. Has anyone heard if any sweet incentives are coming in October to move the 04s before the 05s come out - or should I just get my *** down to the dealer and get my car? Right now I have 4.90% financing on a 4 yr lease - any chance this will improve?

 

Wow! You actually got quote for a 04 GT for 38 000?!? What impresses me even more is to get a 05 GT for 41K!! Is that with tax??? You must one hard *** **** to deal with!!

 

The 6MT cars all come with an LSD regardless GS or GT.

 

haha nah i got my 05 rx-8 gt for around 46000 (with tax ) haha been reading the manual the whole night !
