Hi, looking for some advice,
we had to remove the tape on the door for some touch up painting. We asked around what would be better, with or without the Pillar Taped, We agree, on a blue it looks better with...
So we ordered some tape... Now the problem, went to pick it up last night, and it's shiny.. Like a gloss finish. When placed on by the one on the passenger side, which looks like a matte finish, there seems to be a problem, so we returned to the dealer to inquire about this problem. The confirmed it was the same tape, Mazda Canada in TO ....
They say that the polish that is given the cars as new has "dulled" the color of the tape.

Has anyone else replaced the tape? Did it look like a matte finish when polished?
No too sure as to what to do. Replace it then polish it?

The piece that gave you (of the tape) does it fit exactly or did you have to cut it?
If you had to cut it, take a small peice of it and polish it to see if it looks like a matte finish. if not I'd replace both sides.
