Part # for mazda oil pan heater?

Hello,

I just called my local mazda dealer (Gary Moe, in Red Deer ,Alberta) and they can not locate any oil pan or block heater for my car.

I was under the impression there way a oil pan heater available through mazda? If so, do you have the name or part number for me?

Thanks,
Brad

There is an oil pan heater available, no block heater. Park Mazda in Sherwood Park is shipping one up, hopefully it'll be here today.

Park Mazda is about the only ones who stock 'em - they saw mine in 2004 and decided to import some....

I epoxied a thin piece of aluminum in one of the creases on the pan bottom, to provide a smooth surface for the stick-on.

You can just do a search on Ebay; that's where I got mine.

Hrmm, it would be best if I could find the OEM one. Ebay does not have any OEM pan heaters on there.

No ideas anyone?

Thanks,
Brad

Well it's not really OEM straight from Mazda. Mine was made from somewhere in the states. It's not that big, maybe 6"x6" and can find similar products everywhere. A magnetic one would be good, plus add some glue/silicon for that added protection of not falling off.

Stealth, that sounds like a good idea. How many pieces of aluminum did you use?
