Hey folks...

So alil' while ago I was in California for a conference... and I came across something rather disturbing while I was visiting a buddy at Google.

In parking lot I found a clearly mistreated RX-8. This poor unfortunate 8 clearly hasn't been redlined in quite some time... in fact.. if you look at the rear window.. you'll see how long the poor thing has been sitting there... loyally... since March 15th 2006 waiting for it's owner to return.

I say next time anyone goes down that way... we liberate it!

you know in these cases, the owner is probably dead/murdered and his body is dumped somewhere. Or the body is actually in the trunk of this car right now.

 

Can't believe it has not been towed. I'll take it though.

 

isnt there like some kinda action i can take by callin the DMV and having the title transferred over to my name if the owner doesnt respond in time?

It's located out at one of their Moutain View offices... not there anymore so I can't getcha the VIN :p

Does no one else find it very odd that someone left a car in perfectly good condtion (at least ont eh exterior) out for 3 years?

Even if the owner had died or something, wouldn't someone have sold the car off?

 

Maybe he died and owed a lot. Or maybe it was stolen by a Gangsta Google employee and dumped there.

I find it extremely odd... and at that location inparticular. Doesn't really make any sense what so ever... but.. you have the proof right in front of you!
