Woodbine Scion is having its launch party event which we have dubbed ScionSpeed!

The event takes place on Sunday October 10th 2010 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. That way if anyone has Thanksgiving plans for Sunday dinner they can still make it out.

All makes and models welcome! The entry fee is $10 per car with all proceeds going to Sick Kids Hospital. Spectators are free! Since we are a Toyota/Scion dealer we would especially like to see Toyotas (and Scions) out so there will be reserved prime parking, provided you let me know an approximate number of cars attending. Just post in the thread so I can keep a track of count or email Al above

There will be great deals on parts for all makes and models including most major aftermarket brands! There will be other vendors on hand as well.

This will be one of your first chances to see all 3 2011 Canadian Specification Scion models, the xB, XD and tC. Test drives will be available as well!

They'll be a BBQ, prizes/giveaways and entertainment. Performances from Gina M (Aka Envyy) and Golden Chyle plus more to come.

Street Power will be on hand with their Dyno Dynamics Dyno offering pulls for $35 with a portion of that going to Sick Kids as well! We are also going to do a prize for the highest recorded number on the dyno!

I think its $35.00 per pull and they are donating part of the money to Sick Kids. We will have a prize for the highest RWHP from a stock RX8 and also a Modded
RX8. Oh yeah and stock means ....................stock lol.

Al, I'll try to make it out if I get all my household fall chores done. No 8, I sold her this weekend and she'll be dearly missed.

 

The event is from 10-3 so leaving early shouldnt be a problem. Still would be cool to have the largest presence be of the "rotary contingent" RX7-RX8 and even RX3's and 4's! One of the "higher-ups" from Scion Canada will be here and it would be cool if they saw one of the biggest groups in the area all in one place!

in another note, my car's 3 year bumper-bumper warranty ended today. I want to thank Al for the past 3 years looking after my car's minor issues since I bought it. Hope she'll last.

Thanks to those who have confirmed your attendence! It will mean a lot down the road as Scion is looking at grassroots motorsports as a way to promote their brand. There will be both Toyota and Scion management attending, so the more race/solo/modded vehicles attending the better chances we have of getting contingency etc!

 

Spectators are free, at the info said, but do they get a spot to park their cars? I want to get some Hawk Pads that day....

 

There is an almost empty plaza beside us so I dont think parking will be an issue!

 

Looking forward to trying the new tC. :D

Sorry, I'm gonna have to back out. I bought a 96 integra for a winter beater and the rear brake calipers have seized and attempting to unseize it has popped out the piston. It won't go back in so we spent 6 hours trying to get the caliper off but... rust rust rust.

I'm gonna need all the money I can to get this repaired either myself or professionally
